I am a warm, empathic person who can provide a professional non-judgmental space for you to work through problems that are affecting you. I have a passion and commitment to support individuals with their emotional and psychological well-being, helping them overcome difficulties and encouraging positive change in their lives. We all go through struggles from time to time and sometimes facing these alone or with our loved ones can feel challenging. I regard it as a privilege to sit alongside someone offering kindness, compassion and emotional support to help navigate the storms and move towards a greater place of acceptance and healing.
I have experience of working with a range of different issues, such as, but not limited to relationship difficulties, loss, bereavement, abuse, trauma, bullying, self-harm, stress, domestic violence, anxiety, and depression.
I am integrative therapist, which means I can adopt different therapeutic approaches to suit your needs. My practice is rooted within a person-centred core, regarding you as the expert in your life and what you want to focus on in therapy. I believe there is potential for all of us to move towards change. A person-centred approach seeks to empower your awareness of this, progressing towards a more authentic self. My practice integrates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and attachment-based frameworks.
As a relational practitioner, I place great value on the therapeutic relationship and the importance of building trust.
I am an experienced therapist providing individual counselling support to adults and adolescents. I have worked in different charity organisations providing therapeutic support to adults dealing with a range of issues.
I have previously worked as a therapist in a secondary school for several years, supporting young people aged 11-18 years with individual therapy sessions and running well-being groups. Prior to my retraining as a therapist, I worked as a teacher in secondary schools for 20 years and so have first-hand experience of what it is like both inside and outside of the classroom environment within a school and the challenges young people face today.
I have experience of working with a range of different issues, such as, but not limited to relationship difficulties, loss, bereavement, abuse, trauma, bullying, self-harm, stress, domestic violence, anxiety, and depression.

I am a registered member (MBACP) of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework.
